Lakeside Medical Center
Opened in October 2009, Lakeside Medical Center serves the rural western Palm Beach County, an historically agricultural region bordering Lake Okeechobee known as “The Glades”. The 70-bed hospital is the county’s only public hospital and is operated by the Health Care District of Palm Beach County, a comprehensive safety-net system established by voters in 1988 with the mission to serve the residents of Palm Beach County, especially those, like many Glades residents, who have traditionally been underserved.
The hospital features:
Modern, Single-Occupancy Rooms
An Innovative Birthplace
A Veteran Staff with Deep Roots in the Community and Extraordinary Dedication to their Mission
